In March when my parents kicked me out, David had the idea for me to join the Army. I met with a recruiter here in Hollywood and I was told I was not allowed to join until I was 6 months postpartum. I got the job at the shoe warehouse and have been waiting this whole time to reach that point.
Now it’s been 6 months and I’m on the road to enlisting in the Army. I’ve passed the ASVAB, turned all my paperwork in, and now Wednesday I’ll be taking the AIMS test and then taking my physical. I’m hoping to ship out as soon as possible.
This is our chance to get our girls back. After all this time of just waiting, being miserable, it’s finally starting to come together. Basic training is 9-10 weeks and soon after that we’ll be able to go to court to get Eternity and Shade back.
My parents are still not being cooperative at all, and it’s clear that they are unwilling to give our daughters back. I texted my father a few weeks ago and asked him if he could send me Shade’s social security card so I could have it to join the Army. I told him because I was married and have children, that the Army will provide me with a house and insurance for all of us and that I will be coming to pick up Eternity and Shade after basic training. He told me that I still couldn’t have them, even if I joined the Army. By him saying that, it proved what I already knew. It was never about us getting a stable living condition. They never planned on giving them back. They’re evil people. Plain and simple. So now we’ll have to fight them in court to get our daughters back. But you better believe that we’ll win. We WILL have our daughters back by the end of the year.
